Mockup: the Zest Candle Co logo card — blush, copper florals, framed wordmark — beside three fanned launch posts: Be Enchanted, Love Scenario and Morning Breeze.

01Overview

Logo, packaging, product labels and launch posts for Zest Candle Co — a label of luxury scented soy candles.

The work covers the logo and its blush-and-copper floral pattern, the “Made for love” gift box, a family of jar labels — including a collaboration series with guest creators — and launch posts for individual scents.

02Challenge

Candles are bought with the nose — but online, they’re chosen with the eyes.

Nobody can smell a candle through a screen. The brand had to make each fragrance feel distinct, and the whole range feel like a gift worth giving, through what people could see: the logo, the box, the label on the jar and the post in the feed.

03Objective

Make a small candle label feel like a luxury house — and give every scent its own personality.

One identity calm enough to hold the range together, with enough room in the labels for each fragrance — from Caramel Drizzle to Blueberry Vanilla — to become a different mood.

04Thinking

Quiet luxury on the outside. A different mood inside every jar.

The master brand is soft and restrained: blush, copper line-work and a tall Art Deco wordmark. The labels are where colour and character live — moons and stars for An Unforgettable Night, snowflakes on navy for Blueberry Vanilla, lipstick kisses for Love Scenario — each built around the same small mark, so the shelf still reads as one family.

05Creative Direction

Zest Candle Co logo: a striped flame cradled by two curved strokes above the wordmark ZEST CANDLE CO and “Home of Luxury Scented Candle”, framed in charcoal on a blush floral pattern.
Logo and brand pattern

A flame, held.

The mark is a striped drop of flame cradled by two sweeping strokes — part petals, part open hands. It sits above a tall, geometric wordmark and the line “Home of Luxury Scented Candle”, on a blush field of hand-drawn copper florals that becomes the brand’s pattern.

06Identity

Packaging made for giving.

Three blush gift boxes floating in soft light, wrapped in copper floral line-work, with the Zest mark and “Made for love” set vertically.

The range together: Love Scenario, Precious, Be Enchanted, Fairy Floss Dream and Morning Breeze, styled with books, paper roses and pearls.
The label family

The gift box wraps the floral pattern around every face, with the mark on the lid and “Made for love” set vertically down the sides — so the box is part of the present, not something to throw away.

07Campaign

A launch post for every scent.

Each fragrance gets its own launch: the candle styled with dried flowers, terracotta and paper leaves, the scent’s name set large in a script that matches the mood, and the offer kept small in the corner — “Order now”, 25% off.

08Execution

Labels with room for collaborators.

A collaboration series gives guest creators a jar of their own. Each label keeps the Zest frame, then adds an “In collaboration” panel with the creator’s signature and a few small icons of what they love — Morning Breeze, Be Enchanted and Fairy Floss Dream all share the system.

09Outcome

One family on the shelf, many moods in the feed.

From the box to the label to the post, every piece carries the same mark and frame — while each scent keeps a personality of its own.

11Reflection

Luxury is mostly restraint.

Keeping the master brand quiet is what let the labels be playful. The system needed a calm centre so the scents could be loud.
